I told myself that I wouldn’t let my heart get involved with another #homelab project for some time, but I just got this server and I can’t stop thinking about how much of an upgrade this would be from my current NAS. 10gbe on a NAS would mean I could keep all the assets off my Mac Mini and just pull from the NAS. So much room for proxies. I’m thinking I’m going to pull all this #server hardware out of this chassis and put it into a 4U chassis so I can get a bigger, quieter cooler and double up on hard drives. Not sure if an SSD cache is really going to be worth it hear but I might consider it! #naaackers #technololy #sysadmin #computers
